Tax Preparer

Position Overview

Seeking a Tax Preparer to prepare tax returns, perform tax research, support client engagements, and assist with tax planning initiatives. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to exercise independent judgment while managing assigned client responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and timely individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and other tax returns.

Perform tax research, analyze tax issues, and document conclusions with supporting authority.

Review and finalize workpapers prior to senior review, taking full ownership of assigned work.

Participate in client meetings, tax planning projects, and client service activities.

Communicate tax law changes and developments that may impact clients.

Assist with IRS and state tax examinations and represent clients before taxing authorities when appropriate.

Collaborate with partners and staff on special projects and serve as a resource to team members.

Support business development efforts through networking, community involvement, and referral relationships.

Maintain the firm's professional standards and tax philosophies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field required.

Strong research, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and exercise sound professional judgment.
