Cash Application Specialist

This role will be responsible for accurately applying client payments, reconciling accounts, researching discrepancies, and supporting the overall accounts receivable function in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Responsibilities:* Post and apply client payments received via ACH, wire transfers, checks, and lockbox services* Reconcile daily cash receipts to bank activity and accounting records* Investigate and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, overpayments, and payment discrepancies* Collaborate with Billing, Collections, Treasury, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate account balances* Maintain detailed records of payment activity and adjustments* Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations* Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed* Monitor aging receivables and help resolve outstanding account issues* Process refunds, credit balances, and account adjustments when appropriateRequirements* 2+ years of experience in Cash Applications, Accounts Receivable, Billing, or related accounting functions* Strong understanding of payment posting, account reconciliation, and cash management processesJob TypeContractCompensation32 - $35
