Buyer/Planner

What your future day will look like: Responsibilities Conduct procurement activities and materials/production planning for a manufacturing environment. Monitor/forecast raw material needs to ensure efficient production operations Work cross-functionally with other departments along with participating in R&D projects and product life cycle Source new suppliers, issue RFPs/RFQs, and negotiate vendor pricing/terms Identify cost-saving opportunities by working with suppliers Monitor supplier performance, KPI's and perform value analysis Maintain accurate procurement records, data and other related information Monitor market trends including materials pricing and new technology within industry circles Benefits Medical Dental Vision 401K PTO Paid Holidays Type: Direct Hire Qualifications Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or other related field is highly preferred 3+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment including materials and production planning. Prior experience working closely with suppliers (domestic/international) negotiating contracts including delivery times. Strong foundational knowledge of ERP/MRP Systems Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
