Lead Software Engineer - Cloud Engineer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of applied experience
• Working knowledge of load balancing and service orchestration in both on-premises and public cloud environments
• Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Python or Java
• Strong understanding of agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Practical experience with cloud-native technologies and Kubernetes
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure as code, such as Terraform
• Ability to contribute to a team culture rooted in diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
• Experience operating Kubernetes at scale, ideally AWS EKS, in financial organizations with a focus on scaling, resiliency, security, monitoring, and audit trails
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, preferably Terraform
• Experience with one or more public cloud platforms, ideally AWS
• DevOps experience is considered an advantage

• Align our technical strategy with partner teams across the bank to deliver a complete and consistent experience for Athena developers
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions, approaching technical challenges beyond routine or conventional methods
• Work with a global engineering team to transform the Athena Core Platform into a resilient, scalable cloud-based architecture
• Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues and improve the operational stability of our applications and systems
• Lead communities of practice across software engineering to build awareness and adoption of emerging and leading-edge technologies
