Lead Software Engineer - DevOps Support

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 5+ years of applied experience.
• We need advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, frameworks, and tools such as Python, C++, Linux, and Grafana.
• We want demonstrated experience in DevOps, production support, SRE, or application support within a mission-critical environment, with accountability for uptime and incident response.
• We require practical understanding of the FIX protocol.
• We need strong Linux troubleshooting skills, including log review, process and resource diagnostics, and command-line fluency.
• We require hands-on experience with AWS and Terraform, plus familiarity with Atlas and Copilot as part of the deployment and platform toolchain.
• We expect the ability to work effectively across trading, operations, and engineering teams, including clear incident communication under pressure.
• We require proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods, with strong knowledge of CI/CD, application resiliency, and security practices.
• We value demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools, with the ability to define expectations for validating AI-generated output for correctness, performance, and security.
• We require strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations.
• We need demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile technologies.

• We design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, taking creative approaches to solve technical problems.
• We provide daily production support for electronic trading platforms, including FIX sessions, connectivity health, and order and trade workflow stability.
• We monitor system health and trading-impacting signals through Grafana dashboards and alerting to improve visibility into latency, errors, throughput, and availability.
• We lead incident triage and recovery efforts during service degradation, including structured troubleshooting, stakeholder communication, and post-incident follow-up.
• We perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and implement lasting fixes, including runbook improvements, alert tuning, and operational automation.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and use Python scripts and tools for health checks, operational workflows, reporting, and environment validation.
• We drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• We use approved AI-enabled capabilities within the software development lifecycle toolchain to increase the value delivered through automation.
• We troubleshoot Linux-based systems using logs, process and resource diagnostics, and network-level checks relevant to connectivity and application behavior.
• We partner with development teams to investigate complex issues in trading components by reviewing logs, traces, and diagnostic output, including components implemented in C++.
