About the Center The Center for Reproductive Rights is a global leader in advancing reproductive rights through the power of law. Since 1992, it has played a transformative role in shaping how reproductive rights are recognized and protected worldwide. With offices in five global cities and a network of more than 2,000 pro‑bono attorneys, the Center employs over 270 professionals across Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, and the United States. It partners with local advocates, litigates landmark cases, influences policy, and advances legislation to ensure reproductive autonomy for all people. Opportunity The Center is seeking a bold, strategic, and visionary fundraising leader to serve as Senior Director, Leadership Giving. Reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer and based in New York City, the Senior Director will oversee the Center’s national major and principal gift programs and lead a team of dynamic frontline fundraisers across the country. Responsibilities Shape multi‑year fundraising strategies that support the Center’s five‑year strategic plan. Expand and diversify the major and principal gift pipeline, securing high‑net‑worth donors and transformational gifts. Oversee the execution of benefit events in key philanthropic markets, including New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Build and sustain internal systems that support scale, performance, and innovation. Work closely with the CEO, Chief Development Officer, and Board of Directors to deepen donor relationships and advance the Center’s ambitious fundraising agenda. Qualifications Proven experience leading development teams and managing large major‑gift portfolios. Track record of securing seven‑ and eight‑figure gifts and building scalable fundraising systems. Deep commitment to advancing human rights and equity worldwide, with a mission‑aligned and inclusive leadership style.
