SOC Analyst II

Piper Companies is hiring SOC Analyst II in the Fulton, Maryland area. The SOC Analyst II will join a global technology leader dedicated to connecting and protecting organizations through innovative, AI-powered solutions that drive secure and resilient digital experiences. This position is a long-term open-ended contract opportunity, and the SOC Analyst II will need to sit on site in the Fulton, Maryland area 2 days a week.

Responsibilities of the SOC Analyst II

• Use Splunk to analyze, review, and respond to security alerts.
• Conduct Tier 2 incident investigations and escalate issues as needed.
• Leverage security tools including Tenable, Microsoft Defender, and AWS Config.
• Monitor and secure AWS cloud environments.

Requirements for the SOC Analyst II

• Secret Clearance
• Experience using Spunk alert analysis
• Experience with AWS and Cloud Security
• Experience working as a Tier 2 SOC Analyst
• Experience with Tenable, Defender, and AWS Config

Compensation for the SOC Analyst II

• Salary range: $105,000 - $120,000
• Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401k PTO, sick leave if required by law, and holidays
