Account Manager

Position SummaryThe Account Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing relationships with healthcare facilities that utilize interfacility transport (IFT) ambulance services. This role serves as the primary liaison between the company and client facilities, ensuring high-quality service delivery, resolving issues, and identifying opportunities for growth and operational improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Relationship ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for assigned hospitals, clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and other healthcare partnersBuild and maintain strong, long-term relationships with case managers, discharge planners, and administrative staffConduct routine facility visits to ensure service satisfaction and strengthen partnershipsAddress client concerns, complaints, and service issues promptly and professionallyBusiness Development & GrowthIdentify opportunities to expand service utilization within existing accountsAssist in acquiring new clients through outreach, presentations, and proposalsMonitor market trends and competitor activity within the EMS/IFT spaceCollaborate with leadership on pricing strategies and contract negotiationsOperational CoordinationWork closely with dispatch, operations, and billing teams to ensure smooth service deliveryMonitor transport volume, turnaround times, and service levels for assigned accountsCommunicate client-specific needs, preferences, and protocols to internal teamsAssist in resolving scheduling or service challenges in real-time when neededReporting & Performance TrackingTrack key performance indicators (KPIs), including transport volume, client retention, and response timesPrepare regular reports on account activity and performanceProvide feedback and recommendations to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfactionCompliance & DocumentationEnsure adherence to all applicable healthcare regulations, HIPAA requirements, and company policiesMaintain accurate records of client interactions, agreements, and service issuesQualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentExperience in healthcare, EMS, medical transportation, or account managementStrong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skillsAbility to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)PreferredExperience in EMS, ambulance billing, or interfacility transport operationsBachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related fieldFamiliarity with hospital discharge planning and case management workflowsKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesStrong relationship-building and negotiation skillsProblem-solving and conflict-resolution abilitiesUnderstanding of medical transportation logistics and healthcare systemsAbility to analyze data and make informed decisionsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team #J-18808-Ljbffr
