Job Description


- Position: Contract RN - Emergency Department
- Duration: 13 Weeks
- Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Nights and Weekends: Rotate
- Call Requirements: None
- Start Date: January 2024

Unit Information:


- Location: Emergency Department
- Number of Beds: 32+
- Total Staff: 117

Staffing Details:


- Day Shift:
- 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC)
- 6 RNs
- 1 Medic
- 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT)


- Mid Shift:
- 2 CNCs
- 15 RNs
- 2 Medics
- 2 PCTs


- Night Shift:
- 1 CNC
- 6 RNs
- 1 Medic
- 1 PCT

Patient Care:


- Patient Ratios: 4:1

Required Certifications:


- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - Required by start date
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) - Required by start date
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Preferred Experience:


- Greater than 2 years in a similar role

Typical Procedures:


- Lumbar Puncture (LP)
- Intubations
- TNK administration
- Laceration repairs
- Suture removal
- Splinting
