Senior Accountant

Interim Senior Accountant
Our client, a growing organization, is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant to provide coverage during a temporary leave. 

This position follows a hybrid work schedule in Palo Alto, CA. The engagement has an expected duration of 3-6 months. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage fixed asset accounting, including reconciliations, tracking, and reporting
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and support the resolution of variances
• Assist with month-end close activities and related accounting processes
• Support ad hoc reporting and analysis requests
• Prepare and maintain accounting documentation, workflows, and supporting schedules
• Identify and support process improvement and optimization initiatives
• Partner with accounting leadership and team members to support day-to-day operations
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data within assigned areas

Requirements:

• Strong experience in fixed asset accounting and reconciliations
• 3+ years of accounting experience with exposure to month-end close
• Experience working with accounting systems and financial reporting tools
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
• Experience supporting process improvement initiatives preferred
