Systems Engineer - Project Engineer

Salary: $93,000 - 134,000 per year Requirements:

• We need someone who can obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• We are looking for a candidate with 4–7 years of experience in project engineering, systems engineering, or a similar technical field.
• We prefer experience in aerospace or defense, ideally supporting DoD or MDA programs.
• You should have supported engineering work through the full lifecycle, from requirements definition to verification and delivery.
• You should bring a strong technical base, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to work independently with moderate oversight.
• You need solid interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
• Experience with Earned Value Management, basic project scheduling tools such as IMP/IMS, and Control Account Management is preferred.
• We expect familiarity with systems engineering methods and the DoD acquisition framework, including the DoD product development lifecycle and DoD 5000.
• You should be proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Project.
• We require a bachelors degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or another related STEM discipline from an accredited institution.
• A masters degree in systems engineering or a related field is preferred and may replace one year of experience.
• You must be able to travel up to 10% and work in secure or classified environments when needed.
• We value candidates who are organized, detail-oriented, self-driven, and able to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting.

• We support the technical planning and execution of defense and aerospace engineering projects.
• We help develop and maintain integrated master schedules, inchstone plans, and work packages with our program and engineering teams.
• We participate in cross-functional Integrated Product Teams and coordinate engineering inputs across mechanical, electrical, systems, and software disciplines.
• We identify and track program risks and opportunities under guidance.
• We contribute to engineering project plans, integration activities, and overall program coordination.
• We help develop statements of work and support subcontract management.
• We assist with trade studies, hardware procurement planning, and make-or-buy analyses.
• We support design reviews and customer meetings, including SRR, PDR, and CDR.
• We draft and review engineering documentation such as test plans, ECNs, and interface documents.
• We help ensure program deliverables, CDRLs, and contract requirements are met.
