Senior Lead Software Engineer - Java, Blockchain

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of applied experience coding in Java or Python
• Practical experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database-query languages
• General knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Understanding of agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Knowledge of software applications and technical processes in a discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile technology
• Experience with blockchain technologies, including public chains such as Ethereum
• Experience with AWS cloud services
• Demonstrated experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for activities such as coding, code review, test acceleration, or troubleshooting, and setting expectations for validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and security and resiliency expectations; experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption

• Produce or contribute to application architecture and design artifacts, ensuring software implementation meets design constraints
• Gather, analyze, synthesize, and visualize large, diverse data sets to support continuous improvement of applications and systems
• Identify data patterns and hidden issues, using findings to improve coding practices and system architecture
• Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring emerging technologies
• Design and implement blockchain solutions, including smart contracts and decentralized applications on public chains such as Ethereum
• Use AWS cloud services to architect, deploy, and manage scalable applications
• Encourage team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes; establish validation standards for secure coding, peer review, and automated testing, and promote reusable patterns
