Senior Lead Java Software Engineer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We need strong core Java expertise, including advanced knowledge of collections, garbage collection, and multithreading.
• We expect experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, databases, Kafka, React JS, CI/CD, feature design, and AWS cloud environments.

• We look for experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database query languages.
• We expect a solid understanding of agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• We need the ability to tackle complex, large-scale challenges and deliver end-to-end solutions.
• We look for the ability to build and sustain strong stakeholder relationships across business and operations teams.
• We need demonstrated experience leading the effective use of enterprise-approved AI-assisted software development tools, with clear validation of outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• We expect a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations.
• We look for experience coaching senior engineers and leads on compliant AI usage patterns and controls.
• We need experience designing and developing micro-front end-based microservices.
• Exposure to Kubernetes is required.
• Exposure to DevOps methodologies is required.

• We create inventive software solutions, perform design and development work, and troubleshoot technical issues using approaches beyond routine methods.
• We design, build, code, and debug solutions while considering upstream and downstream systems and broader technical impacts.
• We drive business value through change initiatives and technology projects.
• We create automated unit tests using a test-driven development approach.
• We build a strong understanding of clearing and settlement functions within Cash Prime.
• We partner with supporting technical leads to develop realistic and achievable project estimates.
• We analyze and improve control, stability, resiliency, capacity, and performance.
• We carry out unit, SIT, and UAT testing planning and management.
• We deliver code robustly into production with zero tolerance for post-implementation issues.
• We contribute to long-range organizational decisions and strategic planning.
• We help improve best practices, quality standards, code reviews, architecture standards, and code reuse.
• We drive the adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• We apply SDLC toolchain knowledge, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered through automation at scale.
