Custom Import Coordinator

A leading global organization in the travel retail and logistics industry is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Customs Import Coordinator to join its Miami team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong import/export experience who thrives in a fast-paced international environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with vendors, carriers, customs agencies, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and experienced in U.S. Customs regulations, FTZ operations, and import documentation processes. Key Responsibilities Oversee and track incoming international shipments from multiple vendors and suppliers. Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to obtain required arrival documentation. Classify shipments using U.S. Customs Tariff codes. Process FTZ admission entries (CF214) and submit documentation through ACE. Monitor cargo releases and coordinate warehouse deliveries and pickups. Prepare duty-paid entries for bonded merchandise, shortages, damages, testers, and promotional items. Create and maintain internal inventory receiving documentation. Maintain permit and master file records in compliance with U.S. Customs regulations. Calculate storage charges and coordinate payment requests when applicable. Prepare and file discrepancy reports related to shortages or damaged cargo. Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and other governmental agency regulations. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in customs import coordination, international logistics, or a similar role. Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs Regulations, FTZ/CBW procedures, and import/export operations. Experience working with ACE filing systems and customs documentation. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities. Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a deadline-driven environment. Preferred Experience Experience within travel retail, consumer goods, logistics, freight forwarding, or international distribution environments. Familiarity with FDA and USDA import compliance.
