Gilroy Gardens is looking for motivated and energetic associates to take our guests to the next level! This Halloween season, as a Boo Spots Associate at Gilroy Gardens, you will be tasked with handing out candy to our trick-or-treating guests as they make their way through the Great Big Boo!

Essential Job Functions:

- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

- Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs.

- Ability to work outdoors, with continual exposure to a variety of weather conditions.

- Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks involving the hands and wrists.

- Ability to walk for extended periods of time.

- Ability to work outdoors with exposure to a wide variety of weather conditions.

- Ability to work in a confined space; approximately 2' by 2'.

- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and other employees of the organization.

- Ability to work with employees and guests in a positive, productive and professional manner.

- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

- Ability to read, write, speak and communicate effectively in English.

- Ability to meet Gilroy Garden's Grooming Guidelines.

- Ability to work effectively and achieve department goals under time constraints and quality pressures.

- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor during emotionally charged situations.

- Ability to work with little direct supervision and achieve assigned tasks.

- Ability to recognize when additional assistance or direction is required and to seek that assistance or direction.

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

- Ability to meet scheduling availability requirements, including availability during nights, weekends and holiday periods.

Job Specifications:

- Must be at least 16 years of age.

- Must have reliable transportation.

- Must have full availability, including weekends and holidays.

- Must have good communication skills.

- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
