Description - What You Will Do

• Conduct routine and sophisticated clinical lab tests-covering areas such as chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyond-adhering to established protocols.
• Evaluate results for accuracy, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory instruments.
• Assist with the collection and preparation of specimens for testing as necessary.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all procedures, train new employees or students, and support lab quality assurance standards.
• Ensure a clean, safe work environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, plus preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of employment.
• Maintain active certification for the duration of employment.
