This full-time remote position allows you to provide essential mental health services to students in a private school setting located in El Paso, Texas. Work Environment\n

This position offers a remote work setup, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong connection with the school community. You will engage regularly with students, parents, and a multidisciplinary team of health professionals, which includes psychologists, psychiatrists, and school staff. Our work hours are primarily Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekends to ensure consistent mental health support across the school year. Additionally, you may be required to be on-call to address urgent mental health situations, providing an opportunity for impactful and immediate intervention.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, taking into account their personal histories, presenting issues, and risk factors to ensure comprehensive understanding.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans in collaboration with students that focus on addressing identified mental health challenges and encouraging emotional development.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care practices.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to promote emotional regulation, improve coping skills, and support personal growth.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team during case discussions and team meetings to share insights and coordinate comprehensive care for students.

• Offer crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, applying de-escalation techniques and determining when referrals to higher levels of care are necessary.

• Educate students and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and local resources, empowering them to be proactive advocates for their mental health.

• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to mental health practices within an educational context.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In your role at Inner Journey Wellness Center, you will primarily work with a diverse population of students from various backgrounds, each facing unique challenges related to their mental health. This includes students dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your work will not only support their individual needs but will also promote a positive school culture where mental health is openly discussed and addressed.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Texas is necessary.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, with preferred experience in educational or mental health settings.

• Strong understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities, including trauma-informed care.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering therapeutic interventions through individual and group sessions.

• Excellent crisis intervention skills with the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.

• Ability to maintain professional ethics and boundaries while engaging with diverse client groups.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer proficiency is essential.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in school mental health, knowledge of special education laws and practices, and familiarity with counseling software tools will enhance the effectiveness of this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
