Key Responsibilities of the Property Accountant

• Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and variance reports for assigned associations.
• Maintain general ledgers, process accounts payable and accounts receivable, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Reconcile bank accounts, reserve accounts, investments, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Manage homeowner billing, collections, payment plans, late fees, special assessments, and related account activity.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, reserve studies, tax preparation, and respond to financial inquiries from Board Members, Property Managers, and homeowners.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience, including preparing financial statements and performing account reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and/or experience in HOA, property management, real estate, multifamily, or fund accounting.
