Lead Maintenance Technician SHIFT: 2nd shift 2:30 pm to 11:00 p.m. PAY: $30 plus $2 per dollar Boiler Premium HIRING BONUS: $3,000.00 ($1,500 paid upon hire and $1,500 at 90 days) Position Purpose This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business helping our network of local cooperatives, independent dealers, and other large retailers serve producers and animal owners throughout the United States. Key Responsibilities The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of facility and production equipment. The technician works with a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls. Superior logical‑thinking and troubleshooting skills are critical. This position is essential to the safe and efficient operation of the facility. Minimum Qualifications Basic computer skills Age: 18 years or older Safety: Ensuring the complete physical safety of oneself and co‑workers at all times without exception Inspect machinery: Knowledge of machinery for proper performance, detecting faults and malfunctioning, and diagnosing malfunctions using testing equipment to determine required repair Write technical reports: Experience composing technical customer reports understandable for non‑technical readers Perform machine maintenance: Familiarity with performing regular maintenance, including corrections and alterations, on a machine or machine tool to keep it productive Time management: Showing up on time, completing tasks by deadlines, and adapting to changes with minimal supervision Comprehension: Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions, and possess basic mathematical skills Coordination: Working well with others to meet team goals and adjusting to important changes Physical Requirements Able to lift 50 lbs Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing, and other active movements Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in dusty environments Shift schedules that include days, nights, weekends, some holidays, and periodic overtime Wage Range and Benefits Land O'Lakes, Inc offers a competitive salary and bonus potential.
