Compensation from $18.00 to $19.00 - (based upon experience) - PLUS additional PT, PRN, Evening, Night and Weekends shift differentials!

Schedules available:

Part Time Day: 7a-3p

Full Time Day: 7a-3p - $3,000.00 Sign on Bonus

Full Time Day: 7a-3p - Memory Support Unit - $3,000.00 Sign on Bonus

PRN (as needed)

*All including Rotating Weekends and Holidays

The Personal Care Assistant is responsible for meeting the basic care needs of our residents.


Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older, unless Active on PA Nurse Aide Registry
• High school diploma or equivalent required, unless Active on PA Nurse Aide Registry
• CPR preferred

Skills/Experience:

• Previous experience working with older adults preferred
• Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent customer service
• Positive attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Capable of working independently and as a team

Expectations:

• Assists residents in all activities of daily living and independent activities of daily living according to the Support/Service Plan
• Responds to all resident requests for assistance and/or call bells regardless of assignment
• Observes residents and reports changes in condition to the appropriate supervisor or team members
• Communicates and documents services provided to the resident
• Recommends changes in the appropriate sections of the resident's support/service plan
• Performs basic care procedures
• Assists with transportation of residents to outside appointments and shopping and accompanies resident as assigned
• Initiates and completes appropriate resident activities
• Informs residents of activities, encourages participation and provides transportation for such activities
• May assist with mealtimes
• Performs basic emergency care procedures, first aid, CPR and Heimlich maneuver
• Actively participates in all required in-service programs and team meetings, including program presentations
