Front Desk Receptionist

Bay State Physical Therapy, a leading provider of outpatient physical therapy in the Northeast, is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. Part-time - 20 hours per week. In this role, you will be part of a team which handles scheduling and day-to-day workflow. You will oversee the check-in/out process, ensuring it's fast, friendly, and accurate, and you will act as the go-to for insurance verifications, authorizations, and co-pay collections as needed. Our clinic has a welcoming, close-knit feel, creating an environment where both patients and clinicians feel comfortable. Our team brings a collaborative approach to care – together, we are fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. We also stay actively involved in the community, regularly participating in local events like 5K and 10Ks. Conveniently located near local businesses and just half a mile from the town high school, our clinic is deeply rooted in the community we serve.

What You'll Do

• Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service
• Answer phones and assist with scheduling appointments
• Verify insurance benefits and explain patient financial responsibilities
• Manage patient intake forms and maintain accurate records
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and insurance approvals
• Support clinic operations and maintain efficient schedules
• Assist with billing, payments, and administrative tasks

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or front desk role required
• Knowledge of insurance verification and patient financial responsibilities preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
