Oncology Sales Specialist - Charleston, SC/Savannah, GA

Merck seeks an Oncology Sales Specialist for the Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA territory. The role involves building customer relationships, communicating oncology product value to stakeholders, and driving sales goals through field-based engagement with healthcare providers and oncology practices.
Responsibilities
- Attain or exceed assigned sales goals in collaboration with territory team members
- Meet with key stakeholders to understand practice structure, business models, and build lasting relationships
- Communicate patient-centered rationale for oncology products using approved messaging and resources
- Analyze drug distribution channels, purchasing patterns, and local market dynamics to develop strategic plans
- Ensure consistent customer experience by collaborating with Customer Team Leader, Nurse Educator, and other functional areas
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years sales experience, or high school diploma with 10+ years equivalent professional experience
- 2+ years oncology field-based experience selling oncology therapeutics to oncology customers
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 25% including overnight trips
- Demonstrated track record of strong sales or oncology clinical performance
- Knowledge of cancer staging, treatment pathways, and multidisciplinary oncology care teams
- Account management and key account management capabilities
