Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead daily operations of our distribution facility. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient receiving, storage, inventory control, and order fulfillment while maintaining safety, quality, and cost targets. This role requires strong leadership in logistics, process improvement, and people management to meet customer service and operational KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Manage, coach, and develop warehouse staff: hire, train, schedule, evaluate performance, and enforce policies to build a safe, productive team.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and root-cause analysis of discrepancies; partner with purchasing and operations to manage stock levels.
• Implement and optimize warehouse processes, workflows, and layout to improve efficiency, throughput, and reduce costs; lead continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Lean).
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations (OSHA or local equivalents), company safety programs, and proper handling and storage of materials; oversee safety training and incident investigations.
• Monitor and report key operational metrics (OTIF, order accuracy, dock-to-stock, labor productivity) and use data to drive decisions and corrective actions.
• Manage relationships with carriers, third-party logistics providers, and vendors to negotiate rates, resolve issues, and coordinate inbound/outbound logistics.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and facility upkeep, and coordinate purchases of supplies, tools, and equipment within budgetary constraints.
• Maintain accurate records within Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP; drive adoption of technology to automate and streamline operations.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and staffing plans to meet business needs while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in warehouse or logistics operations with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Demonstrated expertise with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control practices, and ERP systems.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills with experience developing teams and enforcing performance standards.
• Practical knowledge of logistics, material handling, shipping, and receiving processes; experience negotiating with carriers and 3PLs.
• Proven track record of implementing process improvements (Lean, Kaizen, or similar) to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Solid analytical skills with proficiency in KPI monitoring, reporting, and data-driven decision making.
• Working knowledge of safety regulations and best practices, including experience conducting safety training and investigations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
• Physical ability to work in a warehouse environment as needed; forklift certification or equivalent preferred.
• Desired skills: Warehouse, Logistics, Manager demonstrated experience applying these skills in a fast-paced distribution environment.
