• Shift: Day shift, 4 days one week, 3 days the next (mandatory weekend rotation every other week)
• Hours/Week: 36 hours
• Employment Type: Temporary/Travel Nursing
• Licensure/Certifications: RN license in Louisiana, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, NRP preferred
• Experience: Minimum 2 years PICU experience (preferably cross-trained for Adult ICU/Med/Tele), competent in titrating multiple medications, PIV, CVL, telemetry, wound care, and drains

What You'll Do

• Provide expert nursing care for pediatric and adult ICU patients with diagnoses including MS, DKA, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, post-op ortho/neuro cases
• Titrate medications such as pressors, insulin, heparin, sedatives, pain meds
• Perform phlebotomy, manage drains, and wound vacs
• Assist with patient assessments, vital signs, and documentation in Meditech Expanse EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including intensivists, hospitalists, RTs, and educators
• Float to adult ICU or Med/Tele units if qualified and approved
• Support unit operations with charge nurse and resource staff

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• Minimum 2 years PICU experience
• Comfortability with complex patient care, including titrating multiple medications
• PIV skills, wound care, telemetry experience
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam
• Flexible and adaptable team player

Preferred: Cross-training for adult ICU/Med/Tele, NRP certification
