General Manager

The General Manager assists in operations of the restaurant according to company standards and procedures ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local regulations, and ethical business practices. The General Manager supports the Area Supervisor and is responsible for building sales and controlling costs of the store. They are responsible for troubleshooting operational problems and implementing acceptable solutions. In addition, he/she/x builds and manages to create a team environment that ensures a positive culture, enjoyable customer experience and long-term business growth. This position requires an interactive, present, working style of management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees and directs team members/ shift leaders/assistant managers to help ensure customers are served accurate and complete orders within service-time goals according to current customer service standards using specified priority guidelines with a commitment to achieve results.
• Assists and ensures restaurant staff prepares consistent and high-quality products as required to meet/exceed company standards. Teaches the fundamentals of station responsibilities and monitors/ evaluates employee performance while correcting when necessary. Emphasizes teamwork and enhances the work environment.
• Responsible for efficient operation of the location with or without the assistance of a higher leadership present. Delegates responsibilities as needed for shift.
• Assists in preparing consistent and high-quality products as required to meet/exceed company standards.
• Upholds standards for a clean and organized restaurant as required by local/government agencies. Clearly conveys details regarding food safety with an ability to emphasize priorities and correct bad practices when necessary.
• Efficiently and consistently completes designated financial paperwork, temperature logs, daily inventory, completes required checklists.
• Assists/oversees all hiring needs and develops individual staff members while providing direction through an appropriate use of communication, delegation, accountability and disciplinary skills resulting in low turnover.
• Displays the proper image as outlined in the Little Caesars Orientation and Training Handbook and/or as directed by the executive leadership.
• Ensure store environment is safe, secure, and free of harassment or discrimination, as defined by government regulations, Karalina Enterprises LLC and Little Caesars’ policies and procedures.
• Utilize tools and processes and maintains cost-control goals to meet company standards. Performs labor scheduling, food ordering, and product projections accurately. Ensures restaurant opens and closes as scheduled and is able to service all customer orders each day.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Frequent bending and kneeling
• The ability to lift and move 50 pounds.
• The ability to consistently reach and move items from as high as 8 feet (with use of a ladder) and as low as 6 inches off the ground.
• The ability to control and utilize company equipment safely and correctly (dough press, VCM, sauce ladle, pan grippers, spatula, pizza and dough cutter, can openers, scales, telephone, cash register, etc.)
• The ability to consistently apply pressure to cut through products and/or clean equipment/utensils.
• The ability to count, separate and weigh all types of food products and inventory items.
• The ability to effectively communicate to customers, co-workers and executive leadership (reading, speaking, hearing, writing, etc.)
• The ability to understand instructions and product specifications.
• The ability to process and complete customer orders.
• The ability to operate, comprehend and communicate all training materials to practice standard operating procedures as required by company policy.
• The ability to successfully pass required training programs for certification.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Have a minimum of 2 years previous experience in a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) managing role or 1 year in a full service managing role.
• Minimum 21 years of age preferred.
• Open availability for any shift with varying responsibilities as assigned by management with the availability to work a varying 46+ hours work week and minimum of 4 night shifts based on need.
• Current certifications for all stations in BOH/FOH unless otherwise noted.
• Be dependable and hard-working with the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Preferred working knowledge of sales building, and a proven track record of controlling costs.
• Preferred experience with analyzing profit and loss statements.
• Possess a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle and auto insurance to complete responsibilities as directed by the Area Supervisor.
