Intranet Manager

Opening Statement Own the strategy, delivery, and adoption of a modern intranet platform—driving usability, reducing friction, and helping internal teams get maximum value from technology within a professional services environment. Role Overview Lead product‑management style improvements for a firm‑wide intranet experience, with end‑to‑end ownership from discovery and requirements through testing, rollout, and post‑launch adoption follow‑through. Serve as the hands‑on coordinator across IT, content owners, and an intranet technology vendor to translate stakeholder needs into clear requirements and measurable outcomes. Improve platform usability and content quality by using user feedback, site analytics, and structured content review processes to increase productivity and employee service satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Project Ownership & Product Delivery: Lead defined intranet initiatives using a product management approach—scoping, requirements gathering, coordination with IT and the Infodash vendor, content owner engagement, testing (including UAT/pilots), rollout planning, and adoption tracking. Workstream & Roadmap Management: Manage project workstreams across larger initiatives such as platform migrations, major feature rollouts, and firm‑wide intranet redesign efforts; support analysis, prioritization, roadmap updates, and stakeholder communications. Cross‑Functional Coordination: Partner with IT infrastructure and relevant teams to deliver intranet improvements requiring cross‑functional input; coordinate vendor discussions and contribute to platform strategy decisions. Continuous Improvement: Identify improvement opportunities by gathering user feedback, monitoring platform health, engaging content owners, reviewing site analytics/usage data, and incorporating relevant industry developments; finalize proposals and recommendations. Platform Stewardship: Maintain day‑to‑day awareness of intranet platform health by coordinating with IT on administration, routine maintenance, and content issues (without owning the full operational queue); document configuration/project details you coordinate. Content Currency & Governance: Support ongoing intranet content accuracy by running a structured content review cadence with assigned content owners; elevate persistent gaps and ensure content remains current, organized, and usable. Content Owner Partnership: Act as the primary IT point of contact for assigned content owners across practice groups, offices, and departments—providing guidance, tools, and support to maintain quality intranet content. Onboarding & Workflow Enablement: Proactively engage content owners ahead of planned updates and new content needs; coordinate onboarding for new intranet publishers so they understand workflows, standards, and how to get support. User Adoption & Training Support: Serve as a subject matter expert for the Training team by providing workflow and platform context so training content stays accurate and aligned to current intranet capabilities. Training Coordination & Deployment Readiness: Coordinate training initiatives with project rollouts to ensure attorneys, staff, and content owners are prepared before go‑live; manage testing, UAT, and piloting prior to deployment. Training Materials Review: Review training materials and technical user guides for accuracy before publication; flag gaps and partner with the Training team to resolve issues promptly. Post‑Launch Feedback & Improvement Loop: Collect adoption feedback following rollouts, document findings, and drive continuous improvement using a product management model. Core Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Business, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field required. 3 to 5 years of experience in product management, platform coordination, or digital communications in a professional environment, with demonstrated ability to lead projects independently. Hands‑on experience with SharePoint Online, including site administration, page publishing, permissions management, and content governance. Strong working knowledge of SharePoint Online including content types, metadata, navigation, and web part configuration. Experience with Infodash or a comparable modern intranet platform (e.g., Valo, Powell, Unily) strongly preferred. Experience writing clear requirements and project plans and coordinating delivery across IT and vendor teams (without relying on engineering for hands‑on implementation). Comfort configuring and administering the intranet platform (Infodash/comparable) to support routine tasks. Ability to use site analytics, usage data, and testing outcomes to support adoption tracking and improvement planning. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including how intranet platforms integrate with Teams, OneDrive, and other M365 tools. Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications Law firm or legal experience preferred. Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment preferred. Prior experience coordinating with a Training or learning team on technology platform content is a plus.
