Tire technician

Randstad is looking for a dependable Tire Technician to service medium truck, farm, and small off-the-road (OTR) tires. In this role, safety and precision are top priorities. You will execute tire changes, repairs, and wheel mountings following Tire Industry Association (TIA) standards and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Tire Service & Maintenance

• Mounting & Dismounting: Mount and dismount medium truck, farm, and small OTR tires both on and off vehicles.
• Repairs & Torquing: Perform flat repairs and mount wheels using proper TIA procedures and torque specifications to ensure maximum vehicle safety.
• Vehicle Preparation: Safely jack up vehicles using designated TIA safety protocols.

Safety & Workstation Upkeep

• Safety First: Follow proper TIA procedures for tire inflation and adhere strictly to OSHA guidelines at all times.
• Shop Cleanliness: Maintain the overall organization, cleanliness, and appearance of your assigned work area and vehicle.

Documentation & Fleet Service

• Paperwork: Accurately write up work performed on Service Work Orders, Retread Work Orders, and record credit casings.
• Fleet Maintenance: Provide specialized fleet maintenance services to customers based on custom customer account procedures.

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 75lbs
