Oncology Sales Specialist - Lexington, Kentucky

Merck seeks an Oncology Sales Specialist to cover the Lexington, Kentucky territory, including parts of West Virginia. The role involves engaging oncology customers, educating stakeholders about oncology products, and driving sales goals through field-based activities in a dynamic healthcare market.

Responsibilities

• Attain or exceed assigned sales goals for the territory in collaboration with team members
• Meet with key stakeholders to understand practice structures, business models, and uncover customer needs
• Communicate patient-centered rationale for oncology products using approved messaging and resources
• Analyze drug distribution channels and prescription patterns across outpatient and inpatient settings
• Develop and execute short- and long-term account plans while collaborating with the Oncology Customer Team Leader

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years sales experience, or high school diploma with 10+ years equivalent experience
• 2+ years oncology field-based sales experience selling to oncology customers
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 25% overnight
• Reside within or commuting distance to assigned territory in Kentucky/West Virginia
• Clinical oncology knowledge across multiple solid tumors and treatment pathways
• 5+ years pharmaceutical sales experience (preferred)
