POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the transactional part of the logistics cycle. The Logistics Planner will collaborate with the team on all Customer/Carrier Activities, Load Planning, Operations, Pricing/Rating analysis, and tracking.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports division’s efforts in growing Account volume and profitability, which includes but is not limited to planning loads, internal/external brokerage, track & trace, and rate management. Optimizing transportation shipments for our customers while balancing service and cost using the transportation management system. Monitoring and tracking transportation shipments from inception to final delivery. Develop relationships and communicate effectively with customers and carriers; establish an ongoing, proactive line of communication to ensure capacity and monitor service standards. Develops and maintains effective communication and working relationships with all Genpro departments. Analyze and recommend broad-based innovative improvement initiatives for the account with a focus on eliminating root causes of recurring issues, which leads to driving down costs and/or improving service Reporting and analyzing key performance indicators. Influencing and making recommendations to key stakeholders through data-driven analysis and report summaries Balancing the customers’ needs with our company’s profitability. Assisting in the maintenance of the account plan to ensure sustainability of our services and expand our solution set. Required to work alternating Saturdays and on call as needed. Performs other duties as required.
