Local Contract Orthopedics Physician Assistant - $130-138 per hour

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery Discipline: Physician Assistant Duration: 43 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, flexible Employment Type: Local Contract We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA) to provide comprehensive medical and surgical care to orthopedic patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The PA will work closely with orthopedic physicians and multidisciplinary teams and will participate in surgical procedures and on-call coverage. Key Responsibilities Provide medical management for inpatient orthopedic patients, including ordering labs, imaging, medications, and other treatments within scope. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate care with physicians, nurses, patients, and families. Manage patient discharge planning, follow-up care, education, and therapy coordination. Perform patient assessments, History & Physicals, and initiate appropriate emergency care. Assist in the operating room as a first or second assistant, including surgical exposure, dissection, wound closure, dressing, and immobilization. Participate in rotating OR first-assist on-call coverage, including nights, weekends, holidays, and high-volume events. Provide coverage at the Bishop clinic as needed.
