Job Summary:
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located on the night shift. The role involves providing specialized patient care within a dynamic healthcare environment, with orientation occurring every other Monday. This position is designed for experienced healthcare professionals capable of handling a mix of medical-surgical, cardiology, neuro, and stroke patients. The contract is scheduled to start on 10/19/2026 and end on 01/02/2027. Prior travel experience and charge responsibility are required, and the candidate must have an active VA or Compact license upon start.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience, active VA or Compact license required upon start, experience with charge responsibilities preferred, Cerner experience preferred, strong clinical skills in IMCU patient populations including med-surg, telemetry, cardiac, neuro, and CVA patients.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge nurse experience, proficiency with electronic medical records, ability to work in a teaching hospital environment, excellent communication skills especially in supporting students and new hires.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The position involves a mix of patients with various diagnoses, including neuro and cardiovascular conditions. Orientation occurs every other Monday unless otherwise posted. The facility values a supportive culture, especially when interacting with students and new hires. The healthcare provider is open to up to 20-week assignments with consideration for working at least one major holiday. All requested time off must be included at the time of submission, along with work history, skills checklist, and copies of licenses. The client can cancel up to 36 hours prior to each assignment due to census fluctuations.
