Jr Accountant

Vise is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you’ll support day-to-day accounting operations and play a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, ensuring timely month-end close processes, and supporting the accounting and financial operations functions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with 1–3 years of accounting experience who is looking to build their career in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role is onsite in NYC, in our SoHo office. What you bring on day one A collaborative attitude and desire to grow within a fast-moving team Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or related field 1–3 years of direct experience in public or private accounting, previous start-up and/or fintech experience preferred High level of proficiency in Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) Experience with tax provision and management, SAAS products, and/or systems implementation are preferred but not required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail What you will own Assist with general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals Support the monthly and annual close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Help manage accounts payable, credit card, and employee reimbursement programs Own and improve upon substantial portions of the quarterly billing and collections process, including QA testing & collaboration with engineering to build new billing functionality.
