Junior Accountant

Job Title: Junior Accountant (French Speaking)

Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid)


About the Role:
We're partnering with a growing organization in New York City that is looking to add a French-speaking Junior Accountant to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to gain hands-on experience and grow within a dynamic, collaborative environment.


What You'll Do:

• Support the month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Assist with both accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Help maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Contribute to the preparation of financial reports
• Communicate with French-speaking clients, vendors, and internal teams
• Assist with audit requests and ensure compliance with internal policies

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Fluency in both French and English (required)
• 0-2 years of experience (internships or entry-level roles welcome)
• Strong grasp of basic accounting concepts
• Proficiency in Excel; exposure to accounting systems is a plus
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting

Nice to Have:

• Internship or experience in public or corporate accounting
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks
• Interest in pursuing a CPA or continuing professional development
