Client: Well known not-for-profit organization headquartered in NYC Role: Junior Accountant (temp) Pay Rate: Duration: Location: NYC Job Description Junior Accountant Not-for-profit organization headquartered in New York City with approximately 24 regional offices around the country. Education, Experience and Skills Required 2+ years’ experience in accounting Bachelor’s degree in accounting Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong organizational and analytical skills Proficient in computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Collaborative workstyle, effective working in and across teams Experience with Blackbaud, Financial Edge or Raiser’s Edge preferred Essential Job Duties Prepare monthly reconciliations for various bank accounts Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions/reconciling items Prepare analyses for Form 990 and for the annual audit Prepare daily and monthly journal entries to record account activity, including foreign currency transactions and translation Participate in the annual external audit and special projects Prepare balance sheet and income statement account analyses as well as monthly/quarterly/ad hoc reports Assist in any other Finance-related assignments Complete other tasks and duties as assigned #J-18808-Ljbffr Vaco Recruiter Services
