Junior Accountant

About the Position :


Our client is looking for a Junior Accountant on a temp-to-perm basis to join our growing team in New York City. As a member of the Finance Department, they will play a crucial role in supporting the financial activities of the company.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Assist in day-to-day accounting tasks, including preparation and posting of journal entries, bank and account reconciliations, accounts payable, and management reporting processes.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and interim reports and the annual report.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls.
• Assist with audits.

The qualifications for this position are :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least two to three years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and practices.
• Strong analytical / problem solving skills.
• Willingness to learn business and new processes.
• Strong analytical / problem solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Reval and/or Oracle products a plus.
