Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

White Oak Medical Center Acute Care Therapy seeks to hire a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will:

• Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the physical therapist.
• Complete documentation related to patient care.
• Analyze and manage patient information.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
• Perform operational tasks in response to needs of the department.
• Demonstrate efficient patient scheduling and rehab care management to maximize productivity; accurate and timely charge entry.
• Maintain an environment conducive to patient care and patient/staff safety.
• Perform principal duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the organization's mission, vision, values and goals.
• Contribute to clinical programming according to the needs of patients and the community.

Qualifications include:

• Associate degree from accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program required
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Maryland Physical Therapy Assistant Licensure
• Minimum of one year's experience in fitness, hospital therapy, or other similar patient care area

Work Schedule:

Employment Type: Per Diem

Hours per Week: 8 hrs./week

Typical Daily Schedule: 8 hour shifts

Shift Type: Weekends

Weekend Requirements: 2 weekend shifts per month

Holiday Requirements: Required Minimum two summer and two winter holidays.

Shift Differential Eligible: No

This position is Per Diem at a rate of $43/Hour

Pay Range: If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
