Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist for a weekend-coverage assignment in a high-volume cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical program.

Details

• Weekend coverage schedule of Sat/Sun/Mon, 0645-1915
• 13-week assignment
• CVOR service line comprises 4-6 ORs, including an endovascular suite, with capacity for four concurrent cardiopulmonary bypass procedures
• Cardiac procedures include CABG, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, VAD placement, and may include impella, IABP placement, or adult ECMO
• TAVR procedures performed in the endovascular OR
• Thoracic cases include laparoscopic, robot-assisted, and open procedures
• Vascular procedures range from ESRD graft/fistula placement/revision to endovascular procedures
• Call participation not required due to weekend coverage schedule, though optional at associate's discretion

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of recent full-time experience as a CVOR CST in a high-volume hospital setting
• Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures required
• BLS certification from the AHA
• License required if applicable, with current primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
• Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment without additional training
• Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed

• Candidates requiring extensive onboarding will not be considered
• Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment handling complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
• Local candidates accepted, subject to a radius rule that may affect pay rate
