Job Summary We are seeking a professional and organized Dispatcher for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Mather, CA, supporting service operations within the industrial facilities and infrastructure construction industry. The Dispatcher will serve as a primary point of contact for field technicians, helping ensure service calls are scheduled, monitored, updated, and completed accurately. Key Responsibilities Monitor service requests and dispatch field technicians to the appropriate work orders in a timely manner. Maintain accurate scheduling records and track call status in real time across internal systems and customer portals. Communicate with customers regarding service updates, technician arrival times, and appointment status. Review open jobs and outstanding appointments to identify delays, confirm job status, and ensure required costs are applied. Create work orders in the IFS system for approved quotes and assign them to field technicians. Review, adjust, and complete payroll entries by the required daily deadline. Compensation and Benefits Pay range: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour. Job type: Temp-to-hire. Contract length: 6 months. Required Qualifications and Skills Dispatch technicians and monitor work orders for service requests. Manage scheduling updates, customer communications, and technician assignments. Review open service calls, quote appointments, and job completion status. Enter and review payroll information accurately and on time. 1 to 2 years of data entry, call center, customer service, dispatching, or related experience preferred. Ability to handle multiple phone lines in a hectic, fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities. Comfortable using a headset, computer terminal, and multiple software systems to enter and retrieve information. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional, polished, and able to interact effectively with customers, technicians, and internal teams. Detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to regular attendance. Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to follow through on commitments. Preferred Qualifications Previous dispatching experience in a service, facilities, construction, field technician, or call center environment. Experience using IFS or similar work order, scheduling, or service management systems. Recent graduates with strong communication skills, adaptability, and interest in starting a career in dispatching or operations support are welcome.
