Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients ranging from infants to seniors using comprehensive assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized therapy plans addressing immediate objectives as well as long-term communication, cognition, and swallowing challenges.
• Deliver specialized speech therapy interventions, targeting language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties.
• Collaborate closely within a multidisciplinary team, including occupational and physical therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and families, to devise integrated care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to bolster their progress and involvement outside of therapy sessions.
• Support occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout recovery.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with various regulatory guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and education to stay informed on advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
