We offer great benefits, flexibility, and career development opportunities. Position: Accounting Associate We are expanding our business operations team and are looking for an Accounting Associate. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial reports and reviewing individual and business tax returns. The ideal candidate has in‑depth knowledge of bookkeeping, auditing, and budgeting procedures and can monitor daily transactions, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance and accuracy in accounting. A bachelor’s degree and previous work experience are required; a CPA qualification or CPA track will be prioritized. Responsibilities Support client onboarding for all assigned engagements. Participate in client acquisition and retention initiatives while providing excellent customer service. Organize and update financial records (digital and physical). Execute accounts payable/receivable processes, bookkeeping entries, monthly close, and financial reporting and analysis. May also include payroll and special projects as assigned. Maintain professional accounting practices, including depreciation schedules, sales journals, sales tax returns, payroll record reconciliation, and employment tax returns. Collaborate with managers and associates to deliver timely, effective communication and support. Prepare and file corporate and individual income tax returns. Maintain inventory records, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and produce internal management and ad‑hoc reports. Prepare year‑end audit schedules and support audit processes as needed. Assist in documenting, designing, and testing processes affecting financial statements or performance. Help automate systems and spreadsheets to improve accounting efficiency. Perform related duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; master’s degree is a plus. CPA qualification or CPA track preferred; other certifications (EA, Turkish CPA, ACCA, etc.) considered. Minimum two years of professional bookkeeping and accounting experience. Experience in a CPA firm highly desirable. Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Experience in individual and business taxes required; international tax experience a big plus. Proficiency with accounting software (minimum two years). Fluent in Turkish and English. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Team‑player who thrives in a collaborative office environment. Ability to work with staff and external contacts of the authority. Experience managing financial accounting and reporting projects for for‑profit and not‑for‑profit companies. Track record of accurate, timely work with minimal supervision.
