ServiceNow Lead Software Engineer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with 5+ years of applied experience
• 6+ years of extensive ServiceNow experience leading design, development, and implementation
• 2+ years of ITSM module experience
• Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into high-quality technical solutions
• Experience developing and managing custom widgets, pages, and UI elements for Service Portal users
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide scripting, HTML, CSS, and Angular
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with other applications using REST APIs
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Experience debugging issues and developing proactive monitoring to support platform stability
• Ability to mentor junior developers and foster a collaborative, innovative team environment
• Strong communication skills, including clarifying requirements with stakeholders and working collaboratively with a team
• Preferred: Experience with the HR Service Delivery module
• Preferred: ServiceNow Portal experience, Virtual Agent configuration, UI Builder, and building Configurable Workspaces
• Preferred: ServiceNow certifications

• Design, develop, implement, and troubleshoot software solutions, applying creative approaches to technical challenges
• Produce secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that work in coordination with relevant systems
• Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure software development meets design constraints
• Analyze and visualize large, diverse data sets and develop reporting to support continuous improvement of applications and systems
• Identify underlying data problems and patterns, using insights to improve coding practices and system architecture
• Participate in engineering communities of practice and events focused on emerging technologies
• Take initiative to solve complex problems using analytical and problem-solving skills, adapting to change
