Administrative Assistant II
The Administrative Assistant II provides clerical, customer service, and administrative support within the Governor's Office for New Americans (ONA). This position supports daily office operations, assists the Director and staff, and serves as a point of contact for constituents, state agencies, and community partners. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include answering phones, monitoring emails, organizing and maintaining physical and electronic files, preparing reports and summaries, processing bill claims, assisting with travel coordination, and managing office supplies. The position uses Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, Canva, and related software to maintain spreadsheets, prepare presentations, and support legislative, event, and program needs. The Administrative Assistant II attends meetings as directed to take minutes, track action items, and assist with follow-up documentation. The position supports ONA's digital communications by assisting with the creation, scheduling, and posting of approved content on social media platforms in alignment with state policies and branding guidelines. The position supports constituent case management by receiving and documenting inquiries, routing cases to appropriate staff or agencies, tracking progress, and assisting with follow-up. Fluency in English and Spanish, strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to public service and accountability are required.
Salary: $42,636.96 - $61,721.28 Annually
