Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive nursing care for obstetric patients across all phases of labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care. Deliver high-quality, independent patient management in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor obstetric patients during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal periods.
• Administer medications and interventions in accordance with established care plans.
• Document patient status and treatment using EPIC electronic health records accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Respond promptly to on-call and emergency situations within the labor and delivery unit.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and hospital policies, including credentialing and certifications.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NYC RN license and valid state license to practice.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent acute hospital obstetric experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC charting system.
• Hold current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications; ERM is preferred.
• Experience in LDRP, labor, postpartum, and newborn nursery care required.
• Ability to float within skill set as needed and work rotating weekends and on-call shifts.
