Craft customized treatment plans identifying both immediate and future communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
Deliver targeted one-on-one speech therapy sessions emphasizing fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
Engage with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, occupational therapists, families, and caregivers to formulate aligned care approaches.
Provide educational resources to patients and their families, enabling progress beyond therapy sessions.
Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatment, ensuring consistent care throughout individual recovery paths.
Maintain comprehensive and timely patient documentation, adhering to regulatory standards and organizational practices.
Commit to ongoing professional development and knowledge enhancements in current speech-language practice.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not currently certified by ASHA.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.
Expertise in evidence-based therapy techniques applicable across all age groups, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired disorders.
Adept interpersonal communication skills for engaging with patients, families, and diverse care teams.
A flexible approach to therapy that respects and integrates cultural and linguistic diversity.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities to foster therapeutic effectiveness.
Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and adherence to medical record standards.
