Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric Medical Surgical population across a range of diagnoses
• Manage and monitor patients requiring wound care, wound vac therapy, chest tubes, high flow nasal cannula, and feeding tube care
• Administer blood products, manage PICC lines, and perform IV starts
• Maintain isolation precautions and adhere to infection control protocols
• Operate within a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on a unit with an average daily census of 29
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Familiarity with Pyxis and SBAR communication framework
• Ability to work every other weekend and required holidays per assignment schedule

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge RN experience strongly preferred
• Experience with high-acuity Medical Surgical patient populations including complex wound management and respiratory support
