Are you a driven luxury hospitality sales professional who thrives on building relationships and closing business? Tanzerra Resorts is seeking an Assistant Director of Group Sales to help grow group business for two award-winning independent luxury resorts:

• The Tides Inn – A 70-room Preferred Hotels & Resorts LVX property on Virginia's Chesapeake Bay.
\n
• The Cove, Eleuthera – A 22-room Relais & Châteaux luxury resort in The Bahamas.
\n

\n

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious sales leader looking to expand their career within a growing luxury hospitality company.

\n

About the Role

\n

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and partnering closely with each resort's Managing Director, you will drive group business for meetings, incentives, executive retreats, social events, and small corporate gatherings.

\n

Your primary focus will be securing groups of 10–50 peak room nights , with emphasis on growing midweek business at The Tides Inn while supporting group sales for The Cove, Eleuthera.

\n

This is a remote, home-based position with regular travel to both resorts, key feeder markets, trade shows, and client events.

What You'll Do

• Prospect, develop, and close new group business across the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, Southeast, and other targeted markets.
\n
• Build strong relationships with corporate, incentive, association, and luxury travel clients.
\n
• Manage the complete sales cycle—from prospecting through contract execution and handoff to operations.
\n
• Conduct sales calls, client presentations, site inspections, and familiarization (FAM) trips.
\n
• Create customized proposals and negotiate contracts that maximize profitability while delivering exceptional client experiences.
\n
• Collaborate with resort leadership, marketing, and operations to ensure flawless execution of group programs.
\n
• Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline reporting within Delphi and CRM systems.
\n
• Represent Tanzerra Resorts at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
\n
• Assist in developing sales strategies, collateral, and business development initiatives that elevate both resorts within the luxury market.
\n

What We're Looking For

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hospitality sales experience.
\n
• 3+ years of successful group sales experience within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
\n
• Demonstrated success generating new business and exceeding revenue goals.
\n
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
\n
• Experience managing multiple accounts while maintaining exceptional client service.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Proficiency with hospitality sales systems (Delphi preferred; IDeaS RMS experience is a plus).
\n
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout assigned markets and to both resort locations.
\n
