The PM Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, and basic repairs to Automated Standby Generators reporting directly to the Master Electrician. Our primary goal is to ensure excellent operational standards are met and to maintain high customer satisfaction.In this role you will work at different residential job site locations supporting CDS Home Services Customers by performing routine preventative maintenance on their in-home generators. You can anticipate this role to focus on customer service, technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to trouble shoot issues in the field, and strong communication regarding daily deliverables with the office team. The right candidate will have the ability to develop and grow their technical and electrical skills and experience and will have the ability to grow within the Home Services Department.Essential Job Functions:Strong technical aptitude of mechanical or electrical systems.Time management skills to manage daily schedule.Performing PM Service for generators with the highest possible standards to help insure the company's goal of 95% renewal rates.Completing warranty work on generators as well as filling out all corresponding paper work to insure proper billing.Consistently provide accurate diagnostics by using proper techniques and methods provided by the manufacture's standards.Keeping company vehicle clean and organized and having routine maintenance completed on vehicle when needed.Working with Generac and GE tech support to provide the best possible outcome for our customers.Maintain high service level as measured by Trust Pilot at or above 9.8 Survey results.QualificationsQualificationsValid Driver's License (company work vehicle will be provided)High School Diploma or GED1 year or preventative maintenance or electrical workStrong communication skills (written, oral and listening)Ability to Learn basic knowledge of generator and electrical theoryAggressive in problem solving with excellent organizational skillsDisplays a high degree of tact and diplomacy when speaking with clients, customers and subcontractorsPoses a willingness to learn while working independentlyPreferred QualificationsExperience with residential or commercial electric workExperience working on generators2-3 years' experience with maintenance & mechanical workCompetenciesTechnical AbilityElectrical & Mechanical AptitudeCommunication.Interpersonal Relationship ManagementCustomer ServicePhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
