Wire Processor

We are seeking a detail-oriented Wire Processor to support the accurate and timely processing of domestic and international wire transfers. This position is responsible for ensuring wire activity complies with federal regulations and established financial institution policies while minimizing risk through thorough verification and transaction monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have experience within banking, credit unions, wire processing, or financial operations, along with strong attention to detail and an understanding of regulatory requirements such as BSA, AML, and OFAC.

Key Responsibilities

Wire Processing & Financial Operations

• Process incoming and outgoing domestic and international wire transfers accurately and within established deadlines.
• Verify wire transfer requests, member information, and supporting documentation for accuracy and authenticity.
• Process internal account transfers accurately and within established timelines.
• Perform daily balancing, reconciliation, and reporting activities related to wire operations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of wire transactions.

Risk & Regulatory Compliance

• Review transactions for potential fraud, suspicious activity, and regulatory concerns.
• Ensure wire activity complies with applicable federal and state banking regulations.
• Maintain compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements, and other applicable banking and financial regulations.
• Participate in audits, examinations, and compliance reviews as required.
• Handle confidential financial and member information with appropriate discretion.

Customer & Internal Support

• Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from members and internal staff.
• Research and resolve wire-related questions or discrepancies.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining established security and verification procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve transaction or processing issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and recommend process enhancements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of banking, credit union, wire processing, or financial operations experience preferred.
• Previous experience processing domestic and/or international wire transfers preferred.
• Experience with wire transfer systems and core banking platforms is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and banking-related software.
