Business Development Representative | Charlotte, NC Area
Are you a people person who thrives in face-to-face sales, relationship building, and community engagement? We're seeking a motivated Business Development Representative (ADE) to play a key role in launching an exciting new delivery partner program across Western North Carolina.
In this highly visible field-based role, you'll be responsible for connecting with local business owners, introducing them to a growing delivery opportunity, and helping them join a rapidly expanding network. If you enjoy being on the road, building partnerships, and making a direct impact, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
As a Business Development Representative, you'll serve as the local ambassador for the program by:
- Traveling throughout designated territories to meet with prospective business owners and entrepreneurs.
- Conducting in-person outreach and presentations to generate interest in the delivery partner program.
- Building strong relationships and educating local businesses on the benefits of joining the network.
- Qualifying potential partners and guiding them through the application and onboarding process.
- Managing lead activity, pipeline updates, and recruitment efforts within Salesforce CRM.
- Assisting with community recruitment events, including Lunch & Learns, networking events, and town hall meetings.
- Partnering with local organizations such as Chambers of Commerce, economic development groups, and business associations to expand outreach efforts.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting through Salesforce and Excel.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of sales, customer service, business development, or account management experience.
- Proven experience in outside sales, field sales, or customer-facing prospecting.
- Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting, onboarding, or developing business partnerships.
- Experience in territory sales, lead generation, or community outreach.
- Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills.
- Comfortable learning and utilizing multiple technology platforms and tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

Work Environment & Travel
This is a field-based position with travel throughout the assigned territory. You can expect to be on the road 4-5 days per week, meeting with business owners and attending community events. The role is ideally located near Statesville, Hickory, or Morganton, NC, with flexibility to work from home on administrative days.
Candidates must be comfortable with daily travel, including driving up to four hours round-trip within the territory.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
