Job DescriptionThe Facilities Assistant Manager supports the daily operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of campus facilities for a higher education institution. This role assists with supervising facilities operations, coordinating maintenance activities, and supporting a safe, clean, and functional campus environment. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates seeking to begin a career in facilities or campus operations, with training and development provided.Job ResponsibilitiesOperations & MaintenanceAssist in managing daily facilities operations across academic buildings, residence halls, administrative offices, and shared campus spacesCoordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programsSupport work order management, scheduling, and prioritization of service requestsAssist with space setup for events, exams, and campus functionsLeadership & Staff SupportSupport supervision, training, and day-to-day direction of facilities staff and vendorsAssist with scheduling, timekeeping, and performance feedbackPromote a culture of safety, teamwork, and customer serviceClient & Campus EngagementServe as a point of contact for campus stakeholders, faculty, and administratorsParticipate in walkthroughs, inspections, and service quality reviewsRespond professionally to service issues and assist with resolutionCompliance, Safety & QualitySupport compliance with OSHA, EPA, fire/life safety, and local/state regulationsAssist with safety training, incident reporting, and risk mitigationEnsure alignment with institutional policies and service standardsQualificationsAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related fieldNew graduates are encouraged to applyInternship, co-op, or hands-on experience in facilities, maintenance, engineering, or operations preferredStrong communication, organizational, and customer service skillsAbility to learn building systems and operational processesEducationAbout AramarkOur MissionRooted in service and united by our purpose, we strive to do great things for each other, our partners, our communities, and our planet.At Aramark, we believe that every employee should enjoy equal employment opportunity and be free to participate in all aspects of the company.
